What a great event! We had a great time! We set up at 10:30 a.m. and had tech difficulties. Without our Russ (straight arrow) Farrow on sound we were a bit perplexed. Kim, Buffy's husband was calling sound techs in the city and Buffy was praying and jiggling cables. FINALLY! Just at Jared from The Guitar Center was saying that he'll come over and help the sound kicked in!The concert went on for 3 hours!
Special thanks go out to Gary, Andy and Robert who gave up their Saturday to help set up and tear down. They did great and it was their first time doing anything like this. Allen rents delivered the stage platform on time and it was set up when we arrived. Buffy had a couple new toys to play with on stage. We had a new truss with curtains and lights, plus her new TEAC CD/MP3 remote player for soundtrack use. Once everything was set up, Kim didn't have much to do on the board except monitor and main volume levels. We hope to have a few pics available soon.

Buffy had not had a chance to visit since the end of last year, so most of the guys were new to her and to her ministry in word and in song. In her classic inimitable "no holds barred" style, Buffy surprised, and commanded their attention with music and her sharing her testimony as she spoke to them about forgiving the past in order to get to their future.
Everyone asked when she would return. She hopes to visit every 5th Wednesday night and Sunday morning if she's not on the road.

What a turn out! The weather held up considering it was an outdoor event. It was touch and go there for a while. After we set up at 10:00 a.m. it started to sprinkle and Russ (the soundman genius) was plastic wrapping all equipment. The rain quickly passed and we all breathed a sigh of relief.
People started arriving and the Ordination/Licensing ceremony went off without a hitch. Then the BBQ and fun began.
Kevin Lane Breshears, the bass player for Mickey Gilley played guitar and sang for us, Rebekah Stafford also sang and of course Buffy cranked up the comedy and belted out some tunes. When it was all said and done, people were filled with food, music and had a great time.

It was great to see everyone again. Pastor Jack, his wife Loretta and the congregation are like family to us and it always feels like we are coming home when we go there.
